The babies had their one-year check-up this week and got the okay on the usual stuff, the biggest one for us being whole milk! We will finish up the formula we have and try to make the transition to whole milk in straw sippies, which they already drink water out of. Should be interesting!
We have also moved the babies to their new convertible carseats as they have outgrown their infant carriers due to length. We are weeks away from facing them forward for Hayden and Payson (20 pounds is the requirement) but we might wait for little Madison to catch up. The babies still don't mind if I post their weights online, so here were their weights:
Hayden: 19 lb, 13 oz.
Payson: 19 lb, 10 oz.
Madison: 18 lb, 5 oz.
The pediatrician said they looked great physically and developmentally, and she has stopped adjusting their age based on due date as is done with all preemies. All moms love to hear how well their babies are doing, but moms of NICU babies thrive on it at times. It is just so crazy that a year ago our babies were on IVs and breathing assistance and living in incubators in a Level 3 NICU. God is good!
