Christmas Fun

What a whirlwind this holiday season has been. Despite our RSV lockdown and lots of sick family members, everyone was 100% come Christmas day allowing us to spend the day with family. The babies got to open their Christmas books on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning began with stockings full of first toothbrushes and toothpaste, Gerber Puffs, stuffed animals and bubbles. After their first nap the babies pulled on Christmas tree lights and ornaments (I mean, tore through presents) as grandparents Pops & Nunie and Grandma cheered them on. Half a dozen toys later it was time for lunch and a second nap.

In the afternoon we ventured to my brothers house for a more extended family gathering. Previously the babies have freaked out over there with all of the activity but this time they were overjoyed to be playing with their cousins and "new" toys. Hayden even played dress-up with her cousins wearing their Cinderella princess dress.

For the first time in their lives we put them down for bedtime somewhere else and woke them up around 10 p.m. to take them home. The transition went relatively well but Hayden had a rough night and never really settled in and all three babies woke up on time rather than sleeping in and making up for their lost sleep.

We had a very merry first "real" Christmas (a.k.a. babies not in incubators in the hospital) with the babies and look forward to many more to come.
